Ruth Gibbs on John McCain (in February)

Hello All,

Please email this far and wide across the nation asap.

For months on debates, Senator McCain has been saying he will secure the borders and has been deliberately refusing to call out his plan after that.

Everyone says he has learned his lesson and has changed on amnesty.  NOT SO!  Continue reading

Novak and running mate rumors.

Robert Novak disclosed some insider speculation, today,  with this: “Conversation has increased about the possibility of Sen. Joseph Biden (D-Del.) for Vice President, heightened because of word spread that Biden really wants the job.”

The question that comes immediately to mind, of course, is: V P running mate for Obama? or for McCain?

Colorado Republican Chairman warned: “You’re headed for another election catastrophe.”

The McCain team reveals its character, again.

DENVER, June 16 /CNW/ — “Colorado Right To Life is warning Dick Wadhams, the state Republican Party chairman, that by shunning their pro-life conservative base they’re headed for another election catastrophe in November,” said Joe Riccobono, CRTL president.

“Wadhams banned the nation’s oldest Right To Life organization from their state convention while he welcomed a radical pro-abortion group,” said CRTL vice president Leslie Hanks. Continue reading

I have a draem that my children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the quality  of their spelling but by the content of their character.

Occasionally, on a blog, you find one commenter making fun of the spelling of another, usually in conjunction with calling him “an idiot” or “a moron” and attempting to reject his argument on this ad hominem basis. Continue reading

Democrat goes out on limb for human cloning, cuts off Vice Presidency.

MEDIA ADVISORY, June 13 /CNW/TRW/ — Ohio Governor Ted Strickland (D), in a bipartisan agreement with the Republican Left, has signed a $1.57 billion socialist package to attempt to stimulate job growth through Governemnt spending. The plan includes $400,000,000.00 for environmentalist programs, half of which are dedicated to eradicating rural property rights and all of which are dependent on voters passing additional bond measures on Nov. 4.

At the same time Strickland  vetoed the legislature’s amendment banning the use of any of the bill’s $100 million in socialist biomedical funds for  human cloning.

Chris Long, president of the Ohio Christian Alliance, issued the following statement:

“We’re deeply disappointed that Governor Strickland rejected this amendment to prohibit Ohio tax dollars from being used for human cloning. Continue reading

Spokane Convention I: Soviet Style Elections

LUKE ESSERFor seventy + years the Soviet Union, the Russian Communist Empire, dominated its citizens with absolute totalitarian rule. The Government owned and controlled everything. Nevertheless, throughout that time, they held “free elections.”  How did they do that? The key was controlling who was allowed on the ballot: the nominations. The Communist Party dictated who could run for each office. Mission accomplished.

On May, 22, 2008 The Executive Board of the Washington State Republican Party issued a “resolution” to “clarify” rules of the 2008 Washington State Republican Convention (May 29-31, 2008). Luke Esser sent it Continue reading

Rob McKenna says you’re a RACIST.

It was a sunny morning in 2004. Rob McKenna (now McCain chair) was on the stump and looking like a young Slade Gorton or Rudi Giuliani (but with hair). He was smart, politically savvy and liberal enough, at least on social issues, to be re-elected, unopposed, as Councilman in Soviet King County. And this was to be his banner year, the year to be elected State Attorney General

It happened at the King County Republican Convention, where, later that day, McKenna’s speech would extol the imminent success of the Washington State GOP: we were well financed, organized, unified, and with a newly shrunken and “broadened” platform! Nothing was missing! Victory was assured!  [McKenna, thanks almost entirely to the Builders Industry Association of Washington, did, indeed, form a one-two winning combination behind Dino Rossi, but the balance of the Republican ticket was, generally, slaughtered in November.] Continue reading
