National monument no longer visibly references God
From the American Family Association:
The National Park Service, a branch of the federal government, has joined the Veterans Administration in establishing anti-Christian bigotry as public policy. The NPS has censored “God” from a key display of America’s Christian heritage in Washington. The reference is an engraving of “Laus Deo,” which is Latin for “Praise be to God,” on the east side of the 100-ounce aluminum cap atop of the Washington Monument. Continue reading

A U.S. Marine squad was marching north of Fallujah when they came upon an Iraqi terrorist, badly injured and unconscious. On the opposite side of the road was an American Marine in a similar, but less serious state. The Marine was conscious and alert and, as first aid was given to both men, the squad leader asked the injured Marine what had happened.
The Marine reported, ‘I was heavily armed and moving north along the highway here, and coming south was a heavily armed insurgent. We saw each other and both took cover in the ditches along the road. Continue reading
Last Sunday in the Florida presidential debates, Fred Thompson made a statement of tremendous historic political significance:
“Part of the problem in our education system and with our children has to do with the societal breakdown that’s going on in this country. We need more fathers to stay and raise their kids.”
This is the first time that anyone in national politics has connected the dots between fathers not being able to be fathers, and many our greatest social and economic problems. Continue reading
The abortion gals at NARAL have not given Dan Satterberg (R) their endorsement but they do list him as “100% pro-choice.”
Without seeing the NARAL questionnaire I can only guess that to get a 100% rating you need to have signed onto the abortion industry’s agenda and will continue to allow the abortion industry to reign unquestioned and unchallenged. Dan would have had to sign off on all of the following: any abortion for any reason or no reason, teen abortions, tax-payer funded birth control and abortion, educating your kids on how to put on a condom, schools referring for abortions and handing out contraception. Dan would have to be against informed consent, waiting periods, or parental notification laws. Continue reading
Life of the Party exists to keep the Republican Party pro-life. To that end, complete information and commentary about Republican candidates for President, U.S. Congressional and U.S. Senate races, as well as state gubernatorial and legislative races can be found (there). These are the men and women who have the power to write our laws and decide whether or not we will protect innocent human life in our laws.
It is not usually within the scope of this endeavor to provide you with complete information on every city’s or county’s local race. But from time to time, Life of the Party may come across information that pro-lifers in Washington State would want to know about some of the local races.
This is one such time. NARAL has posted their endorsements, and pro-lifers might be surprised at some of the Republicans listed. You might even find one who’s been endorsed by someone you trusted to give you good pro-life information. Hopefully you see this before you fill out your ballots.
SAYS FIRST AMENDMENT IMPORTANT AS THE SECOND
BELLEVUE, WA – The Second Amendment Foundation today called the arrest of WPLG reporter Jeffrey Weinsier a “First Amendment outrage” that only subsequently focused on a concealed handgun he was carrying “simply to deflect public attention from the fact that Weinsier was arrested for doing his job.”
Weinsier is licensed to carry a concealed handgun, and reportedly does so because his investigative reports have resulted in death threats. Continue reading
…Moreover, during Dave’s incarceration he was subjected to physical torture for refusing to acquiesce to the false claims of domestic violence…”

Despite the best of intentions, the programs developed within our “Welfare Reform” of the 1990’s served as the major funding sources used by the states to promote single-parent families. This resulted in the decay of the cornerstone of our society, marriage and intact, functioning family. Continue reading
